Out and About is primarily a social group dedicated to full access and participation in all community activities and resources. The business meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Center for Independence. We also have social activities throughout the month. Please come and join the fun!
Mission
Out and About has a mission to see people with disabilities gain access to their communities. We want to see all public places be accessible for everyone. Out and About not only wants to enjoy social outings but wants to educate business leaders and the community about issues that are important to us. At our meetings we create awareness about issues by sharing our experiences with each other. We invite community leaders to the meetings to find out what's happening with their organization/business.
